So Melanie is twenty years old and a bit hard to handle she’s very determined, defensive, tiny bit rude, a rebel, witty, sarcastic, cunning but also smart and talented. She is an amazing singer and dancer although she never really performs in public anymore but you may see her sitting in the park under a tree strumming her guitar or something. She loves kids and does a lot of babysitting when she can get a job but she also works as a waitress. She’s not the friendliest person but once you get to know and understand her you’ll have a friend for life. Anyway so Mel’s going to need a few friends who are able to put up with her and some enemies who simply can’t. Mel has only ever had one boyfriend and it didn’t end well for her and no longer believes in relationships. She doesn’t do flings or one night stands or friends with benefits because amazingly enough she is still a virgin. I’m thinking about looking to find someone to be the man who saved her life that she is currently trying to find and end up having him be her final so let me know if you think your guy might be up to it. Besides from that though I’m open to ideas about potential love interest.
and some history...
From a distance Melanie looks like any other twenty year old girl on the planet but talk to her for five minutes and you’ll instantly know she’s not. Melanie grew up in what is considered the ghetto side of Dallas. Her mom died when she was only a new born well once she was old enough to start taking care of herself she had to. She didn’t just have to take care of herself that would be easy she also had to take care of her alcoholic father and she could say nothing about it because she couldn’t stand the idea of going into foster care. Melanie was forced to be strong when she grew up and couldn’t help be hate people who had the easy life. When Melanie was only fifteen she joined one of the local gangs because she felt she had nowhere where she really belonged. She was young and innocent looking and never got caught at anything unlike many of her fellow gang members who weren’t slick or smart enough to think their way out of a situation. Although joining the gang was a mistake that she didn’t realize till late she found her true love: Dance. Of course it’s was illegal street dancing with contest and everything but it helped her discover her talents like dancing and even singing although she never let on exactly how good she was. Melanie dropped out of high school when she was only sixteen because she hardly ever went anyway so she didn’t think about how that would affect her in the long run. Melanie left home when she was eighteen to live with her “boyfriend” at the time who was also one of the top dogs in the gang and she could no longer stand living at home. About a year later Melanie decided she no longer wanted to live like this and decided to tell the gang she would be leaving them. She might have gotten away with just walking away if it wasn’t for her boyfriend who by her leaving the gang also meant her dumping him. Needless to say they didn’t take it well and blindsided her slicing her from the back of her right shoulder to her left lower waist and left her to bleed to death. Melanie black out once they were gone. She woke in a hospital bed in down town Dallas. She was very confused and in a lot of pain. The doctors asked her a lot of questions but never really pushed her and she was incoherent during most of her stay. When she started to think clearly she asked the doctors how she got here and they told her a man, around her age he appeared, brought her in they had to rush her to the ER that they never caught his name and didn’t have a good description of him because they weren’t paying attention to him but rather her the girl he was carrying in his arms. Melanie had to stay in the hospital for a month and then had to come in periodically so the doctors could check on her wound that they told her will likely never go away, she was a good patient though and did as they said but she never shared about who her attacker was because she knew that if she did they would come after her. Four months ago however she did have a run in with them and her secret was out, Melanie didn’t die that day months before but Mel was fast and smart and she got away without any real problem other than them knowing of her existence. Mel hardly ever goes out alone anymore unless she is going somewhere that is crowded but no more dark allies for her. She is still trying to find the man who saved her life she feels like she owes him she isn’t sure how she’ll pay him back since she is barely making it herself as it is but she needs to at least meet him and thank him.

kennedy & melanie.
these two are both waitresses, so maybe they're co-workers? they're both sarcastic, and witty, so kennedy would appreciate someone who gets her sense of humor. kennedy is very talkative, and would maybe annoy her at times, but they could still be work buddies.

melanie&&kennedy co-workers could be fun especially since they both are witty snf sarcastic she would think of Kennedy as good company and she could probably get on Mel's nerves quite a bit but she knows Kennedy is practically harmless so i doubt she'd ever like give into freaking out on her(:
